When I first started looking for ways to earn money as a student, I had no experience, no money to invest, and very little time between studies. But I was determined to earn my first ₹1,000 on my own—and I did it. Here’s exactly how I made it happen.
Step 1: I Chose a Skill I Already Had
Instead of learning something completely new, I focused on a skill I already had—writing. I used to write essays and short stories for fun, so I thought, why not get paid for it?
Step 2: I Joined Freelance Platforms
I created a free account on Fiverr and Internshala. I listed my service as a content writer and wrote a short, clear description of what I could offer: “I will write a 500-word blog post or article in simple English.”
Step 3: I Got My First Order
After a week of no response, I got a message from a small blog owner on Fiverr who wanted a simple article. I completed it within a day and earned ₹400. It wasn’t much, but it was the start.
Step 4: I Promoted My Work
I shared screenshots of my work and feedback on my WhatsApp and Instagram stories. One of my friends’ cousins saw it and reached out to me for another article—this time for ₹600.
Step 5: I Hit ₹1,000 in 10 Days
Within just 10 days, I had earned ₹1,000 by doing what I loved. No office, no investment—just a laptop and Wi-Fi.
What You Can Learn from My Story:
- Start with what you already know. You don’t need to be an expert.
- Use free platforms like Fiverr, Internshala, and Upwork.
- Promote your work—even if it’s small.
- Be patient and consistent. It takes time to build momentum.
If I can do it, you can too. Your first ₹1,000 is just the beginning.
